Learning the spoken Kuwaiti Arabic language greetings

Hi! guys, sorry it's been a while since I've written my last blog but I am here now and life must go on. So where was I on my last blog? Lets continue learning another language - the spoken Kuwaiti Arabic language.


Last time we learnt a few numbers in Kuwaiti Arabic and now we try to learn some Kuwaiti Arabic Greetings.

Kuwaiti Arabic -- English Meanings

Marhaba! - Hello!/Hi!

Sallam Allikom - peace be upon you

Wa Allikom Sallam - And peace be upon you

Shlonkom? - How are you all?

Shlon el Ahl? - How is the family?

Kullu zen, shokran. - All good, thank you.

Ashoofik baden - see you later

Ahlan - welcome

Shlonich?/Kifhalich? - How are you?(if you are speaking to a female)

Shlonik?/Kifhalik? - How are you?(if you are speaking to a male)

Ahna zen/zennin, shokran. - We are fine, thank you.

Enta zen(Male) - Are you okay/fine/good?

Enti zena(female) - Are you okay/fine/good?

Enti min  wayn?(F) - Where are you from?

Enta min wayn?(m) - Where are you from?

Ana min Britanya - I am from Britain

Ana min Philippines - I am from the Philippines

Ahna min Kuwait - We are from Kuwait.

Kuwaiti Swear Words

Dear All, I just want to let you know that the Kuwaitis also use swear words in Kuwait like any other country. It is funny actually because sometimes it is easier to learn the swear words first when you go to a foreign country. I learned all these when I was in Kuwait.
